Goodbye Roi, We Miss You. . .

LeRoi Moore of the Dave Matthews Band has passed away. On June 30th 2008 Moore crashed his ATV on his farm in Virginia resulting in a punctured lung. After a few days in the hospital he was released and expected to recover at home. Suffering complications he was readmitted to the hospital days later. A couple weeks had gone by without much news on his condition only to find that today he took a turn for the worse and passed away at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles. In Moore's sted, Jeff Coffin of Bela Fleck and the Flecktones has been filling in for Dave Matthews Band. Tonights show went on as scheduled. LeRoi Moore will be greatly missed in the Dave Matthews Band community. Roi was 46.

Here are two songs that I think are very sweet and fitting for a day like today. They are mellow instrumentals showcasing the jazz styling of Roi. Enjoy!

Glen Beck

This is an article giving insight to the rising cost of oil. I happen to wholly agree with Beck. I never understood why we stopped exploring for oil and shut down our nuclear energy. Any hows, here is the article: http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/07/02/beck.oilexploration/index.html

Just to note,
Most issues I agree with Glen Beck with the big exception of God, religion and family values. If you are a long time reader of my blog you know that I am not fond of a God or any religion. Beck is a believer.

Buffett, I like the guy!

This may be perhaps the richest man in the world but he seems to understand the looming threat that faces the economy. This is a short but interesting read to see his take on the americans earning 21,000 per year. http://moneynews.newsmax.com/streettalk/buffett_stagflation_ahead/2008/06/27/108054.html

He is right on the money with every issue concerning the economy. Just do a search on Buffett and you will read many articles detailing his perception of the economy. This billionare is more in touch with the market and economy then our Fed Chief Bernanke. Check out this interesting article on inflation and you will see that the Fed and his cronies are totally out of touch: http://money.cnn.com/2008/06/25/news/newsmakers/buffett_bernanke.fortune/index.htm?section=money_latest

This is the logic the people running the show are using:
Sandra Pianalto, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland and a voting member this year of the Federal Open Market Committee, explained in a speech last month, "As consumers spend more money for higher-priced petroleum and agricultural goods," she continued, "they eventually have less money to spend on other goods and services. Other relative prices must then fall."
That is all well and good, but the companies of 'other goods' are raising prices not due to demand but due to the ever rising cost of oil and energy. It isn't as simple as americans arent buying so companies will be forced to drop the prices. That forces companies out of business and workers out of jobs, further increasing the unemployment rate. Un-flippin-believable.

This Guy Is Unbelievable

Just read what this defense attorney has to say about child rape victims.
It is disgusting vial pig fuckers like this that really itch my taint. To say that he would ruin a child's life if they take the stand during a rape trial is beyond words. All in an effort to keep a law passed that could give child rapists the death penalty, which I happen to think isn't punishment enough. I will dive into that in a minute.
This defense attorney is everything that is wrong with the legal system. What if it was his child that was raped??
Fuck you pal! You know what you deserve. . .A good anal raping by about 10 prison inmates. If it were up to me I would rape you myself with a fire starter log and some kerosene for lube. . .then a lit one to finish you off. How dare you say you would give a child nightmares and they will never have a relationship with anyone once you are done with them on the stand.
As for the rapist, you do not deserve to suffer such a little punishment as death. You should have to live your life in total torture. Just as the child will with his/her own thoughts to torture them after suffering such a heinous act. Everyday your morning would start off with a tree trunk forcibly shaved up your cockhole. You know, a nice seasoned piece of wood that is dry and feathered. Then I would pour ground glass in your eyes and pepperspray your face. After the glass has shredded your eyeball I would sprinkle some salt on there followed by some alcohol. A nice rapist Face-Martini. This is all in the first hour of waking up of course. The rest of the day would be spent wandering dark hallways where the family of the rape victim would get to beat the living shit out of you.
I don't understand how families sit back while the justice system lets the scumbags walk. Not me, you touch any of my children or family and the law is in my hands! I recall a story where a little boy was molested and they caught the pig that did it. While the authorities were transporting the pig in the airport the father of the victim stood by a phone booth pretending to be on the phone. When the pig came close enough the father whipped out a gun and shot the fucker right in the head! Hallelujah!! Good for him. It makes me so proud to know that that pig got what was coming to him. The dad is a real hero!
Mr. Defense Attorney it is my sincerest hope that you one day are face-fucked and raped by John Travolta. I don't know why, I guess Travolta is the epitamy of embarassment.

Dave Matthews Band

Tables turned again
And you my friend
You and I face each other
Oh time and time out
I know it's sometimes hard
But knowing just oh
That we will get along
Til we're old and gray
And doubled up
We're huddled up, we'll sit
And laugh of times were hard
And laugh of times when we thought
All it would end, it was all over
Then again
And know that I'm yours less rain
And to leave you out, I'll die
Oh my friend
It will be you until the end with me
Always
Always

Dave Matthews - Hold Me Down

I have been listening to this non-stop loop after loop and it has yet to get old. Such a beautiful song. If only more people knew him for his singer/songwriter capabilities. . .

2012

The End closer then ever
Galaxy and sun perfectly aligned
All that is prophesied come to fruition
Could it really be?,
Water turns foul, food becomes scarce
Floods and drought one by one
Bring us to a certain end
Vatican City dark in black smoke
Only the faint echoes of screams
Pope no more, ashes from flesh
Faith is lost, man begs for light
Darkness clouds the sky
Only now do we realize how alone
how unimportant we are
The end rings loud
Eyes see only black
Body feels intense heat
Judgment Day
Are we ready?

My life is Mine

My heart has been beating heavy for weeks.
Can't breath, been losing sleep
Total confusion clouds my mind
Thoughts of emptiness all the time
Slowly losing the will to be
Only in my lover do I see
A greater time yet to pass
My soul with her forever last.

How did it come to this
Feelings that I just can't dismiss
The sadness in which i lonely exist
For long my mind in an endless twist
Never to listen to them again
They do not understand the pain within.
My love reminds me time and time
All the world with her is mine

This alone is what i need
A lover for life no matter the deed
She accepts me for who I am
My failures she couldn't give a damn
Until the end of my time
I will forever keep her mine.

They Have Won

GW can keep preaching about the 'progress' we are making in Iraq but the real truth is the terrorists have succeeded in what they set out to do: Take out the American economy.

After 9-11(so tired of this by the way), stocks plummeted and we were in a recession. The aftermath was disguised and the public were led to believe that it was just a 6-12 month recession. But the truth is the government knew just how bad it was gonna get if they didn't act fast. So we got tax cuts which did very little to stimulate the economy. Kinda hard to do when that piddly 500-800 dollars you get back goes right to the oil man.
So the feds came up with this great idea of allowing lenders to issue these home and home equity loans to people who could not afford such loans. This was how the feds were gonna 'boost' the economy. They rewrote the rules on lending.
With the rules skewed, lower income applicants were able to qualify for homes that were way out of their price range. Applicants signed on to these Adjustable Rate Mortgages and Interest Only loans to be able to afford a home worth 400,000 for only 1,200 a month. Meanwhile the home that was being sold for 400,000 was really only worth 150,000 in a properly operated market. Also, people were able to get home equity loans much easier because their home was now worth 3times what it should be. So with this push on the housing sector the economy was able to ride a steady rise back to what it was before 9-11.
One problem, the feds never told anyone that this would catch up with us. Foreclosures are through the roof because the payment has finally started to balloon to its correct amount. Credit has simply dried up due to the poor lending practices. But these practices were pushed heavily to stimulate the economy. It worked. . .almost. It was never designed to work permanently.
Our economy is in too deep for repair and quick fixes by lowering the interest rate. The dollar is falling at record pace with no end in sight.
No longer are we looking at a recession but a more feared and not so talked about depression. Bear Stearns is just one bank to go down. The dominoes will soon fall and we will be left with nothing.
Our government set us up for this. By trying to stimulate the economy in 2001, they lead us like cows to the meat shredder. . .blindly. This current economy was built with sand and pebbles and now the rain has come to tear it down.
Hate to say it, but we haven't even seen the beginning of this. It WILL get much worse.
Remember the terrorists said they set out to topple the American economy? Well, where are we now?? It is clear to me that they succeeded on the 11th of September, the year two thousand and one.

HipHip Hoo. . .snore.

Big fucking deal. Another year of the same bullshit. Why get excited? Although, I did enjoy the plastic bottle that was winged at Alex Rodriguez while he was talking to Carson Daly. Yay for New Yorkers.
I don't get the excitement.
